Emily & Tjeng-wee Wedding Flowers
Slot Zeist, The Netherlands
My delightful clients, Emily and Tjeng-wee, drew inspiration from my Japanese-style arrangements and entrusted me with bringing their vision of romantic, natural, and opulent wedding flowers to life. For their celebration, I curated a selection of luxurious Japanese garden roses, the soft tones of dusty pink Café Latte roses, and the delicate elegance of pink sweet peas and their vines. These were beautifully complemented by gentle peach orchids and the refined charm of lisianthus.
Set against the stunning interiors of the mirror room at Slot Zeist, chosen as the ceremony backdrop, my floral arrangements wove a tapestry of natural elegance into the classical golden décor. The bridesmaids radiated youthful freshness, their bouquets blending harmoniously, while Emily, as the bride, embodied unmatched grace.
Color Palette: soft pink, soft peach, dusty pink, cream, and soft green;
Style: glamorous, natural, luxurious and abundant;
Kind words:
"Katya did an outstanding job with the flowers for our wedding. The entire process was handled with the utmost professionalism, paying close attention to even the smallest details. She has a remarkable sense of what can be achieved with elegance and style. The special flowers were delivered in perfect condition on our big day, accompanied by practical advice. Katya was a fantastic collaborator—flexible, solution-oriented, and always attentive to our wishes. Despite the busy schedule, she responded promptly to our messages and seamlessly incorporated the final touches and adjustments. Working with her was an absolute pleasure, and the result was the most perfect flowers for our wedding. I wholeheartedly recommend Katya’s artistic work to anyone!" - Emily

Sarah & Ivan Wedding Flowers
National Maritime Museum, Amsterdam
Creating the wedding flowers for Sarah and Ivan’s wedding in Amsterdam was an absolute joy. The wedding was a perfect blend of elegance and sentiment, and every detail was carefully curated to reflect the couple's vision.
For the personal flowers, we chose delicate sweet peas in white and beige hues, adding a touch of warmth and sophistication. The ceremony featured lush garden roses adorning the chuppah and ground arrangements, setting a romantic, timeless scene.
The aisle and dinner tables were decorated with roses, sweet peas and anemones, an exquisite choice that added depth and charm to the decor. Despite being out of season in mid-July, my amazing flower supplier managed to source anemones. Their striking black centers perfectly complemented the custom table setting: dark navy menu cards, black wax-sealed name cards, and handwritten calligraphy added a touch of drama and style, seamlessly tying together the aesthetic.
Collaborating with Sarah on her wedding flowers was a delightful experience, her trust and enthusiasm made the entire process a pleasure. To make the celebration even more meaningful, we donated the flowers to a local charity after the wedding, ensuring their beauty continued to bring joy.
It was an honour to be part of such a memorable day.
Kind words:
“I worked with Katya for my wedding at the Maritime Museum in Amsterdam in 2024 and I couldn't have been happier with the results. Katya was so easy to work with and listened to my requests and understood the vision so well. I got so many compliments from the guests about the flowers and many guests took flowers home with them after the wedding. I would highly recommend Katya to anyone who wants high quality flower displays - big or small. Her passion for her job really shone through throughout our whole collaboration. It was such a joy to work with her. She styled the wedding and especially the chuppah set up in such a beautiful way. We changed direction a few times around the flowers and she adapted to this so well and was so easy to work with. Everything was so seamless and she brought so much positivity to the process and to the day.” - Sarah

Marianne & Han Wedding Anniversary Flowers
Parc Broekhuizen, The Netherlands
This Copper Wedding Anniversary, celebrating 12½ years of wedded bliss for a Dutch couple, was a heartwarming occasion. Set at the stunning 18th-century estate, Parc Broekhuizen, in a picturesque forest area in the Netherlands, the event was truly enchanting.
The ceremony, with a serene lake as its backdrop, and the dinner, held in the historic chambers of the country house, added to the magical atmosphere. The fine-art styling by Shirley Pisano from Bloom Wedding was refined and elegant.
My garden style floral design featured exquisite garden roses, including rare Japanese varieties, sweet peas, eustoma, and fragrant tuberose, which was in season. The wonderful scent of the flowers added an extra sensual dimension to the visual feast.
We chose a soft cream, peach, and beige color palette, which perfectly complemented the 18th-century wall paintings, creating a harmonious and timeless look.

Mari & Rutger Wedding Flowers
Museum Van Loon & Pulitzer, Amsterdam
The story of this remarkable couple is incredibly touching. Rutger, a Dutch gentleman, traveled across the world to Japan to reunite with his love, Mari, who had taken the bold step of leaving her job to be with him. When they approached me, their vision was crystal clear: they wanted opulent, romantic, and unique floral arrangements. Their chosen colour scheme featured shades of brown, dusty pink, and peach, a true dream assignment for me! I handpicked over two dozen exquisite late-spring flowers, including Mari's favourite brownie tulips, Cafe Latte roses, lilies, garden roses, sweet peas, eremurus, and other premium flowers.
Their ceremony, held in one of Amsterdam's most beautiful gardens at Museum Van Loon, was the realisation of their dreams. The roses were still in full bloom, perfectly complementing the carefully selected colour palette. Following the ceremony, the dinner took place in the historic rooms of the Pulitzer Hotel in Amsterdam, where the couple requested a throne-like floral arrangement with an opulent, royal touch. I must confess, this wedding is one of my all-time favourites.
Colour scheme: cream, peach, brown, dusty pink, soft green;
Style: lush, romantic, natural;
Kind words: " Katya was our floral designer on the wedding day. Her flower art was amazing and all of our guests loved it! Katya never rushed and took her time for us. During the meetings her passion for flowers showed and it was such fun to talk with her. If we ever have an event again and we need flowers, we will definitely be asking Katya again." - Rutger & Mari

Paola & Peter Wedding Flowers
Landgoed de Salentein, The Netherlands
This wedding floral design was crafted for a Nikon photography workshop of a talented The Hague fine-art photographer Jose Chan. I'm genuinely fond of the delicate fine-art style, and used an assortment of fine blooms including spray roses, sweet peas, and lisianthus, along with complementary supporting flowers. To enhance this soft colour palette, I used my favourite seasonal foliage, Italian eucalyptus, renowned for its distinct soft color gradient that transitions from subtle green to gentle peach and beige, influenced by temperature shifts between day and night. The result? An utterly harmonious effect that perfectly complements this particular look!

Sarina & Randall Wedding Flowers
Orangerie Elswout, The Netherlands
This was the quintessential midsummer wedding, set amidst a picturesque garden with an enchanting al fresco arrangement. Botanical delights such as locally grown garden roses, sweet peas, and jasmine vines graced the scene, infusing the air with a divine fragrance.
My passion lies in garden-style and fine-art floral design, so when the bride, Sarina, entrusted me with crafting unforgettable wedding flowers for their celebration at Orangerie Elswout, nestled in the heart of a natural park, I was thrilled!
The delicate, locally grown German garden roses, Augusta Louisa and Romantic Antique, combined with dill, jasmine, and sweet peas, captured my heart forever.
Kind Words:
"Thank you for the beautiful flowers, Katya! And thank you also for the extra fixes and setup at the Orangerie. It looked stunning! It was a very special day for us. Thank you for everything!" - Sarina & Randall

David Austin Roses, Wedding & Event Flowers
Exclusive Marketing Event, Aalsmeer
This business event of David Austin, the world's leading breeder of iconic English roses, was a dream assignment come true. Decorating the vast space of The Fragrant Garden venue in Aalsmeer required over 3000 exquisite David Austin garden roses, alongside a similar quantity of other flowers. The preparations spanned nearly three weeks, involving a comprehensive 20-page floral design plan and close collaboration with David Austin's remarkable team.
My team of six florists and I crafted dozens of centrepieces, large-scale arrangements, hanging installations, and a lavish garden-style floral arch. Despite the hard work, it proved to be an unforgettable experience, bringing immense joy. Meeting David Austin Junior and the team - Jo, Amy, and Zoe - in person and hearing their heartfelt compliments and comments about our work was a true pleasure. This event marked the beginning of a fruitful and heartfelt collaboration.
Following the event, David generously allowed me to keep the flowers and organise a styled photoshoot with the highly talented photographer, Sandra from Divine Day Photography. The production was a great success, with one of the images (featuring the floral arch) even winning First Prize in the Garden Roses Contest hosted by Alexandra Farms.
Colour Scheme: soft pastels, some accents of cerise;
Style: lush garden style, glamorous, timeless and creative;
Kind words:
"I wanted to take this opportunity to formally thank you, on behalf of David and all of the team, for your incredible work, creativity and artistry as well as the huge effort you made. You did an incredible job and we loved working with you and everyone loved the floral displays that you created. So thank you!" - Jo Bird, Art-Director
